My Achilles is clearly not getting any better, so instead of continuously running in pain or feeling pain every other run, I decided to take the week off. Time off now is better than later when it’s too late to get back into shape for the half marathon. I’m not going to lie, I’ve been pretty lazy this week. I did a few Tabata workouts and a really long walk, and that’s pretty much it! I’ve been really stressed out about starting up the school year again so I’ve been preoccupied with that.
Saturday the 23rd, at the Wetlands (dirt) I only ran a pitiful mile and something so I don’t feel the need to post the mile splits. I walked back to my car, so you know how that day went!
Sunday and Monday the 24th and 25th I took off.
Tuesday the 26th, I did this Tabata workout from fitsugar. I’ve mentioned them before, but I feel the need to reiterate how much I love their Tabata workouts!
Wednesday the 27th, I did this Tabata workout from Fitsugar. I think it was equally as good as the one I did on Tuesday, but I couldn’t do the lunges as intended since jumping hurts my shins.
Thursday the 28th, I walked an hour and a half around my neighborhood. Dakota (my golden retriever) was very happy to accompany me along with my dad, brother, sister in law, and mom. It was nice catching up.
Friday the 29th I took off because I am really stressesd out. I know exercise helps to de-stress but I AM TIRED!
Please note that I am *not* a trainer or fitness expert, this is just a workout based on my own knowledge and experience that has personally worked for me. Please consult a doctor before starting any fitness routine.
