I LOVE these nail stick-on decals by Sally Hanson (Salon effects) that I bought at the swapmeet for under 2 bucks! I think I’m going to change them up to a Japanese flower design though since my nail polish lasts like 1 day… yeah. Oh and please excuse my little dry child hands.
I also thought I’d share this funny little contradiction (that is not the word I am looking for but I can’t think of the word!!!). You can get it at an Asian restaurant around my area….and I don’t think it is imitation vegetarian shrimp, if imitation shrimp even exists….
In other news, here are my mile splits for these past three days:
Wednesday, the 9th in the Wetlands (dirt):
As you can see, my GPS wigged out a little bit when I went more into a woodsy area after mile 3 so it’s accuracy after that is questionable. Overall, it was a decent run though!
Thursday, the 10th in suburbia (on grass mainly):
I ran 42 minutes as a recovery run because I was plain tired and my legs were DEAD! So I didn’t use my GPS watch or I would’ve been tempted to run faster.
Friday, the 11th in the Wetlands (mainly dirt):
I forgot my GPS watch today! I was bummed! I ran 55 minutes and probably a little over 6 miles. If I had to guess I would say I was running at 8:15 pace. The wind at the wetlands has been really bad this week which is strange for summer weather here.S
For strength this week, I have been following this runner’s strength workout that I found on Pinterest! Unfortunately, I have been kind of lazy and have only done 1 set of each workout. I didn’t look at the recommended reps either. I did a minute for the plank and 10 to 15 reps of each exercise. I’m hoping that since summer school is over now I can start doing 2 to 3 sets of the 6 exercises (I don’t do the rotational shoulder exercise).
Well, Happy Friday and good luck getting your fitness on this weekend!
Do you have a strength training routine that you strictly adhere to?
Please note that I am *not* a trainer or fitness expert, this is just a workout based on my own knowledge and experience that has personally worked for me. Please consult a doctor before starting any fitness routine.
